The GEMA goes against the Videplattform VideoTube ago and has obtained a temporary injunction. GEMA justified its action as an attack against Internet piracy. In this action ensures VideoTube incomprehension, because people were trying to view is always our own, the Vorderungen GEMA enough to do, but would not have the resources available, such as Google's YouTube.

According to GEMA a variety of videos on VideoTube works from GEMA's repertoire are protected by copyright. VideoTube himself would have loved to work with GEMA, it can afford to own information but not because of excessive demands of the GEMA. According VideoTube would have to pay about 20 percent of the revenue forecast for 2007 to GEMA, GEMA to meet the demands. However, this lacks a financially strong investor.

The fronts harden at the moment. VideoTube accuses the GEMA to want to make an example, while the GEMA in turn denounced the ongoing copyright infringement in VideoTube.
