Corporate Weblogs in corporate communications

As already reported , I'm writing my thesis on the use of corporate blogs in corporate communications. And I want to clarify with grounded theory and qualitative content analysis of how the companies make the communication in weblogs, what strategies are used and what measures can be considered as success factors. The entire empirical study will culminate in a guide that Do not Do `s and` s should note business if they want to join the fray corporate weblog.

Today you for a few exclusive results at a glance:

Do's

  • The corporate culture must adapt to the communication means Weblog
  • Companies need to make the dialogue open to customers
  • Interaction, dialogue and credibility should always be adhered to the customer
  • Companies are innovative and authentic blog
  • Company should the customer to communicate and involve the treated subject. This results in fruitful discussions, which the company before you share to others.
  • take an active part in the discussion in the blogosphere
  • take you to critique and discuss them
  • offer added value; thank the bloggers (mostly) with links and positive reactions
  • Invest your time and patience

Do not `s

  • Companies should take the customer seriously, and to communicate with him
  • Customers should not be deceived because of marketing decisions
  • Criticism should not be answered with warnings and lawyers
  • Send them no mere PR phrase
  • give it to positive criticism and reporting fake blog - or worse - to buy
  • evaluate the success of her blog, not only on the basis of unique visits and page impressions
  • a weblog sold alone is not bad products

More points and a detailed investigation will be available in my thesis. In this work I have also set up an online questionnaire for those responsible for corporate blogs. If by chance should be responsible for lost blog here, I would appreciate your participation in the survey. But beware, this questionnaire is only for business operators and their blogs!
